Kenet’s FemtoCharge® CMOS technology employs a revolutionary ADC architecture that is fabricated with standard foundry CMOS processes. By manipulating the signal as packets of charge, Kenet converters simplify or eliminate some of the usual ADC circuit elements. This advanced process removes some of the traditional barriers that have limited speed and performance in the past.
The FemtoCharge process is the result of more than ten years of research and development in disruptive analog-to-digital conversion technologies by Dr. Gerhard Sollner and his team of researchers at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. The technology, which is protected by 20 patents, yields ultra-low power ADC converter products that consume dramatically less power than comparable products and are scalable with process geometry.
