WOBURN, MA, April 24, 2006 – Kenet Inc., a developer of revolutionary, low-power analog mixed-signal products, today announced that it has entered into a distributor agreement with INNOTECH for representation throughout Japan. INNOTECH, a leading semiconductor trading company, will provide Kenet with strategic assistance in developing business opportunities in Japan.
Under terms of the agreement, INNOTECH will work to generate interest from prospective customers for Kenet’s ADC products and technologies, including Kenet’s FemtoCharge® CMOS technology, an innovative new analog signal-processing method that delivers an unprecedented combination of high performance and low power consumption.
“This is an important move for us as Kenet establishes its foothold in Asia,” said Dr. Gerry Sollner, Kenet’s president and CEO. “INNOTECH offers a vast network of contacts in Japan that we will look to bring into play immediately. We are now open for business in Japan.”
“We’re excited about representing Kenet in Japan,” said Takashi Tsumori, president and CEO of INNOTECH. “Kenet is providing the industry with semiconductor products that are by far the lowest in power consumption, and we are confident this will be well-received by our customers in Japan.”
Kenet's FemtoCharge® CMOS technology provides a revolutionary
ADC architecture that is fabricated with foundry CMOS processes. By manipulating the signal as a charge - instead of voltage - the ADC eliminates traditional circuit blocks that have limited speed and performance in the past. The FemtoCharge® process is the result of more than ten years of research and development in disruptive analog-to-digital conversion technologies by Dr. Sollner and others at MIT Lincoln Laboratory.
