Dr. Gerhard Sollner,
Senior Executive Vice President, Co-Founder

Prior to co-founding Kenet, Dr. Sollner led a group of researchers at MIT Lincoln Laboratory that developed Kenet's underlying technology. In 1982 Dr. Sollner joined MIT Lincoln Laboratory, where he helped implement novel signal processing and high-speed semiconductor devices, including
resonant-tunneling diodes. His work has been published in a number of academic journals and he holds several patents. The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers elected him as a Fellow in 1997 for his innovative research into semiconductor devices. Dr. Sollner received his bachelor’s of science degree in physics from the Georgia Institute of Technology and his master’s and doctorate degrees in solid state physics from the University of Colorado. He also conducted research in sub-millimeter astronomy, at the University of London and the University of Massachusetts.
